An Oregonian dispatch reports the treasury department in Washington has mailed the J. M. Berry check for 8750 dollars to District Attorney McCourt in Portland to be sent to Mr Berry here. The payment may take several days to reach La Grand. The Berry couple will move to Portland after receiving the funds and are selling their household goods quickly.
