Official reports from Nogales dated March 24 say yesterday's clash near the area left zero killed or wounded. A 300 strong federal detachment moved from Nogales Mexico toward Hermenillo, with no fighting yet near the city and insurgents reportedly beaten at La Colorado and in retreat under pursuit.
Six bodies removed after a deadly fire incident. Rescue teams recovered all living victims and transported them from the scene. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze and awaiting autopsies. Names and exact locations were not provided in the readable text.
Fire Chief Clancy was rescued severely burned after firemen crashed through the Middletown Manufacturing roof in Milwaukee. Fifteen men were saved with five fatally injured among them. 30 panic stricken girls were rescued from an upper floor before the roof collapsed. Property loss is listed at $100,000.

Frances Jane Crosby Van Alstyne born in 1820 observed her 91st birthday in Bridgeport with relatives and a public reception. She has been blind since infancy, married Alexander Van Alstyne in 1858, who died in 1902. Crosby wrote over 5,000 hymns including Safe in the Arms of Jesus Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross and Jesus the Water of Life Will Die.
The Intercollegiate Fencing Association plans preliminary rounds for the championships with Yale Harvard Cornell and West Point in the northern division at West Point and Princeton Pennsylvania Columbia and Annapolis in the southern division at the Naval Academy. Each site will eliminate one team leaving six for the finals in New York next week.

Jon Teal of Portland attacked lumber rates between the Pacific coast and intermountain region during the fourth day of Interstate Commerce Commission hearings in Washington. He claimed Spokane to coast rates violated long and short haul clauses, saying the rates were utterly at variance with those clauses.

The boys died after eating noodles from suspected poisoning blamed on ptomaine or chloral overdose. Their mother had insured them for 100 dollars each.
In New York on March 24 the Dignowitty family urged the United States to investigate reports that J Milton Dignowitty and three companions were captured by Mexican federals. They say the victims could not have joined the revolution, following a family conference.
A sage mountain strike reported in Reno on March 24 found the supposed gold to be mica schist and copper. About a hundred prospectors were left on the ground after the bust.
Liverpool report Frank Bibby’s Glenside won the grand national steeplechase at Aintree in a dramatic cross country victory, claiming the richest race in its category.
A. G. Green private secretary to Congressman A. W. Lafferty visited Elgin to begin work at the Elka lodge under Frank Smith of M. & M. Co. Green, who recently became Lafferty’s private secretary, intends to depart for Washington, D. C. soon as circumstances allow.
Washington March 24 Rear Admiral Charles Vreeland commander of the Atlantic fleet second division will represent the navy at King Edward VII coronation after Dewey declined due to travel length. The announcement follows Dewey's declination and confirms naval attendance at the historic ceremony.
Melbourne reports strong approval of President Taft's arbitration plan between England and the United States. Premier Fisher says adoption by the English people would prompt the civilized world to follow.

Boston March 24 Hippo lytug a blank verse play by the late Mrs Julia Ward Howe was produced at the Tremont theatre this afternoon by Margaret Anglin and company. The work written for Edwin Booth in 1859 was planned long ago but delayed and abandoned.
Emperor William arrived in Vienna today after sailing toward Corfu. He was greeted warmly by Archduke Francis Joseph and state officials as a large military cortege escorted the imperial visitor to the Hofburg Palace.
In San Francisco on March 24 Louis Glass former general manager of the Pacific States Telephone and Telegraph Company faces a second trial on bribery charges linked to the Ruef Schmitz board of supervisors. The first trial verdict was overturned by the appellate court.
