City of La Grande bonds for street improvements authorized
The La Grande Oregon city council authorizes and orders improvement bonds to fund street and avenue unpaid assessments. Bonds issued in specified denominations shall be advertised for sale in six issues of the La Grande Evening Observer and one issue of the Portland Daily Abstract, sold for the highest price below par. The mayor and recorder are directed to execute and print the bonds with funds credited to sinking and interest funds, effective July 1, 1911.
