Hear Bud Barnes Case Opens In Superior Court
Walle Walle June 24 The Bulletin reports the Bud Barnes murder case to begin in the superior court on Wednesday at 9 a.m. with jury selection. A venire of 120 names was drawn, 18 jurors to decide Barnes fate. last trial ended in a 3 to 9 deadlock over charges of first degree murder. Barnes is defended by Edward Mills E F Baker and Oscar Cain. Prosecuting Attorney Rupp and Deputies McDonald and Bryson will present the state case.

Organist McClellan Stuns Salt Lake Audiences at Methodist Concert
J J McClellan, organist of the Mormon tabernacle, Salt Lake, gave a varied program at the First Methodist church last night. He demonstrated the pipe organ’s versatility with works by Bach Gulimant and Mendelssohn and Calvert, drawing encores and warm applause. The Y M C A male chorus performed in the first part, with strong voices and good training. Profits from the concert go to buy a grand piano for the Y M C A lobby.
