Assurance of 10000 dollar Sumpter Valley bonus raised in Baker City
Baker City collected the full 10000 dollar bonus for the Sumpter Valley extension by six this evening. David Eccles, via Salt Lake orders, began construction with 60 teams and 100 men slated for Austin. Manager Grant Geddes says 100 more teams and 200 workers will join once grading advances. The project will be built by day labor, not contract.
