Huntington county wins judgment against bondsmen in $10,009 shortage case

A Huntington court verdict orders five bondsmen to pay $10,009 plus interest to the county for a sheriff’s shortage. The ruling stems from a long dispute over a $10,000 shortfall in 1903, with prior actions ending in acquittals for the sheriff and chief deputy. The decision names Harry A. Duffy, A. L. Brown, S Frontwood, J. W. Isenhofer, J. F. and D. Gartwright as defendants, some defaulting prior to the judgment.
