County Court of Union County invites sealed bids by July 8 1909 for constructing a 164 foot steel span bridge over the Grande Ronde River at La Grande Oregon. Bids accompany a certified check equal to five percent of the bid. details in the clerk's office.
The item promises prompt relief in every case and is sold by druggists for one dollar. A trial package is available for ten cents. The product is manufactured by Williams Manufacturing Company, Cleveland.
Spirit Lake Iowa druggist Mr L H Farnham urges Chamberlain Stomach and Liver Tablets as the best remedy for constipation. He promises they are agreeable in effect and affordable at 25 cents with free samples available through all good dealers.
In a sales push Van Duyn's announces a fresh line including Volf skirts black and white elastic belts and nobby Dutch collars pins and cuff button sets. Friday and Saturday the entire underskirt line black and white goes on sale at a big discount. Call to see them.
Superintendent Gilman expects a Seattle shipment tonight or tomorrow of 5300 feet of 4 inch pipe with fittings and four hydrants. The $1500 project will lay 1200 feet on Grandy avenue and 800 feet on North Second as residents await lawn watering. The council has pending applications awaiting pipe arrival.
The Model restaurant will close all day Sunday to repair its heating apparatus after seven years of service. Proprietor J. A. Arbuckle will oversee the work, with the place closing at midnight Saturday and reopening at breakfast Monday. He plans to buy a second monster range for more frequent repairs and cooling intervals.
