The Oregon Short Line Railroad is near finishing its extension into Wallowa county with only seven percent of right of way to grade and a Grande Ronde River bridge under construction. Engineer Brandon oversees progress as two grading contracts are awarded to Mitchell of Joseph and Patterson for Lontine and Enterprise work, while yard material awaits use.
