Des Moines reports Progressive Republicans win most state and district contests with Prouty defeating Hall by about 2000 votes and governors Carroll and Vesey leading or gaining in Iowa and South Dakota. In Wisconsin, La Follette faces an insurgent challenge as moderates attempt to unite against him.

Sell Historie Lang New York June 8. Lane white for more than 200 years had bent the possession of one family and sold at auction today by the heirs of Lewis Gouverneur Morris. The property consisted of nearly 200 lots in the Bronx.

An 80 acre La Canyon farm in Union county rapidly increased in value after Logan-Sherwood Realty sold an eight acre plot to J. P. Fuller of Yakima. Fuller began irrigation work and other improvements, and within four weeks the property's price doubled from 4000 to 8000 dollars, with Fuller turning down an offer at the higher value.

Winnipeg June 8 conservatively estimates show wheat area this year at 8 600 000 acres, up 12 to 15 percent from previous year. Saskatchewan accounts for 4 600 000 acres of the total with oats at 4 500 000, barley 1 000 000, and flax about 600 000 acres, nearly double last year. Less than ten percent of Saskatchewan’s arable land is under cultivation.
