Large Hatchery Under Construction in Oregon Coast Region
Portland June 6 Work has begun on a large state salmon hatchery on the Clatskanie river to be one of the northwest’s biggest fish factories. It will handle 12 060 000 to 15 000 000 eggs per season and include a 100 by 55 foot main building a superintendent’s cottage several smaller structures and about 16 ponds with water brought by a 1400 foot flume.
