Vegetables include onions two cents, spinach three for a quarter, asparagus three pounds for 26 cents, tomatoes ten cents, new potatoes two cents per pound, and other fresh produce with varied prices. Fruits feature oranges 40 cents a dozen, lemons 50 cents, bananas 40 cents, strawberries 15 cents per box, cherries 2 pounds for 25 cents, gooseberries 2 quarts for 35 cents. Meats show hogs at 10 dollars per hundredweight, veal four to four and a half cents, mutton 6.5 cents, chicken at 18.5 cents, dressed poultry higher. Portland Butter at 29 cents, butter fat and eggs with local candied eggs at 23 1/8 cents. Poultry and other items listed with assorted prices. Barley, wheat, and millstuffs quoted with several price points for 1909, including bran at around 19.50 to 20, shorts at 21.60, and flour patent prices at 6.55.
