Reports from La Grande claimed Union lost to Broomer 6 to 1 Monday night, but the Union team held the maidens to one courtesy run after the second inning. Both papers based their notices on the Broomer report before verifying with Union.
The June term of the county court convened this morning and bills against the county were audited, allowed or rejected as the case may be. Tomorrow the remaining matters will come up. Commissioner Selder attended this morning.

An elderly woman aged about 80 slipped on a sidewalk near the college building yesterday and broke her right arm near the shoulder joint. Dr. Wendt reduced the fracture and said her age will slow recovery but she is not in danger.
