Much Mooted Case Decided in Bank Failure History

Circuit Judge J. W. Knowles issues decision in the Lak case of J. I Phy trustee against Bolton Bodmer over a Farmers and Traders bank failure. Bolton Bodmer transferred stock certificates and promissory notes totaling over 3400 dollars to secure a deposit of 6589.85. The judge finds the transfer valid as consideration and bars recovery, with Bolton Bodmer to surrender remaining funds after full settlement.

Nampa Hustling Town Forms Businessmen Association

Publicity Manager Fred B. Currey returns from Nampa where Monday night he organized a businessmen's association similar to the local booster group. He finds Nampa a hustling town of 6 000 with 23 blocks paved and plans to boost. Fifty members enrolled and a publicity manager to be hired at once. Currey spent a day in Poise as a guest of Mr McLain formerly of La Grande.

Another Good Program at the Star Theater

Patron praise for a Star Theater program. The feature is an exceptionally fine story with superb acting and a compelling plot. The film runs about one thousand feet and accompanies two other good features, making the admission price of 10 cents worthwhile.
