La Grande Merchants Protectives affiliate with Oregon State association
La Grande Merchants Protective Association has joined the Oregon State association after delegates attended the state convention in Portland. John Collier is named as president of the local, with Pendleton’s My Dean as another member. The move safeguards merchants with state-wide protection and signals consolidation of local and state bodies. An upcoming Heat meeting will hear a full report from the local group. The article also notes a profitable Portland-to-La Grande trip and a separate item about threshing equipment for sale.
