At the last county court term J N Smith of Allcel asked to cancel a warrant in his favor. He argued he did not earn the money and should not receive pay for the day and millage. The court granted the request, praised as a new departure in honesty. Hon T H Crawford becomes circuit judge of the eighth district, while former judge Eakin moves to Salem awaiting the Supreme bench opening.
