The circuit court has completed several cases since last Thursday. State v L A Stoop involved dam destruction at Minam with a hung jury. State v Joseph Veit pleaded larceny from a building with a one year penitentiary sentence. State v George Evans pleaded guilty to obtaining money under false pretenses and drew one year in the penitentiary. John Fisher was found guilty of selling whiskey in quantities under one gallon and fined $300. Pltf verdicts include Bade ve Hibbard for $80 and Helsom property attachment in J J Robinson v North Powder Lumber Co dismissed. McGregory v O R N Co is being tried. Van Houten & Messenger v American Insurance Co yielded $916.25 for the plaintiff.

The first through train from Perderton to Spokane ran at 11 15 this morning over the branch line after a month of suspended traffic. Conductor Trow and Engineer Martins led the train with 100 plus passengers awaiting departure at the O R W depot.
