Grand Master Richard Scott to Visit La Grande Odd Fellows
Monday night will see Grand Master Richard Scott of Portland visit the La Grande lodge. Representatives from every lodge in the city are expected to attend if invitations are accepted. The Odd Fellows will be in force with other lodges and a large crowd is anticipated for the address followed by an elaborate banquet. Committees are advancing plans.

Non-Sectarian Magazine to Launch in Pendleton
A new non sectarian monthly illustrated religious paper titled Essential Christianity is planned for Pendleton beginning March. It will publish four pages per issue with two pages of editorial content, aim to promote brotherhood across denominations, and will mail thousands of copies with one cent stamps to reach households in Pendleton and Umatilla County.

The district school board of Union County Oregon invites sealed bids by March 5 1908 for 159 cords of four foot split yellow pine and red fir wood cut green not after June 1 1908. Deliver 135 cords to the high school 5 cords to White school 10 cords to Fourth ward school and cord neatly as directed. Fifty cards required by July 1 1908 all on or before August 16 1908. Bids to be left with the school clerk. The board may reject any bids.
