A wreck on the New York Central line near Utica at 2 AM killed two and severely injured many aboard the westbound Boston to New York train. The boiler exploded, the engine toppled, and Pullman cars and coaches plunged down an embankment as the Buffalo Special neared. Two More Wives Linked to Hoch Bigamy Case

Chicago police learn of two more women claiming Johann Hoch married and deserted them in 1903. Mrs Regina Curtis of Cleveland and Mrs Anna Dodd of Dayton say Hoch robbed their savings. If valid, Hoch would have thirty seven wives. Hoch arraigned in New York on bigamy charges and sent to the Tombs to await extradition papers.
