Petitions to submit the women suffrage amendment were filed in Secretary of State Dunbar s office in Salem with 9935 signatures affixed. Advocates plan to distribute a pamphlet to voters prior to January 1, asserting support for adoption while signatures were cleaned of invalid entries. Petitions for constitutional amendments or laws by initiative must be filed by February 1.
