Notice of Annual Fair in La Grande October 4
The First Eastern Oregon District Agricultural Society announces the county fair will be held in La Grande starting October 4 for one week. Delays came from uniting Wallowa county and joint exhibits. The new catalogue will resemble the old one with higher premiums and new features funded by La Grande business leaders. Exhibits should be prepared for Union county’s largest fair yet. F. M. The La Grande Common Council declares its intention to macadamize Adams avenue from Hemlock street east to the city limits and levy special assessments totaling 5600.60 dollars. A public hearing is set for September 11 1909 at 7 o clock p m in the council chamber.
