Death by Own Action Ends Dobbins Life in Baker
Draper M. Dobbins, 25, died after shooting himself with a Colts 44 at the Baker & Supply office on Auburn Avenue near the railroad tracks. He stepped from the shop, drew the pistol to his chest, and fired, dying shortly after as investigators note his morose periods and rumored inner struggle. His family is described as respected. his mother died last winter and his father resides in Arkansas. Elmer E. Dobbins, his brother, is well known in Baker. The town laments the tragedy and extends sympathy.
