Union County Faces Rapid Rail Development
An Ouskavin representative visited Union yesterday with Mr. Cleaver of the Central Railroad Company guiding a tour of active work. About fifty workers are on site, with grading and most bridges near completion between Union and the Cove, as ties arrive and three carloads head to lay fourteen miles of track. Plans call for a branch to Hot Water and a line from Cove to La Grande, reaching Sum merville within the fall, signaling ambitious valley development and enhanced regional transportation.
