The First Eastern Oregon District Agricultural Society announces the county fair will be held in La Grande starting October 4 for one week. The new catalogue will be issued soon with raised premiums and new features, aided by La Grande businessmen. Wallowa County participation aimed. Owner Reclaims Found Matchbox From Hen House
R H Davis who found a match box in his chicken house and advertised for the owner has succeeded. William Allison manager of the La Grande Flouring mill claims to be the owner. Delivery not made as Davis says owner must pay for missing chickens and the advertising. All who know Allison expect a quick settlement.

Reward Offered for Pony Theft Arrest and Conviction
H Eichenberger offers 100 dollars reward for the arrest and conviction of the person who took a black pony from the pasture last week in March. The pony weighs about 1000 pounds with a white hind foot, is branded small H on the right shoulder and a half circle V on the left stifle.
Foot of Mi Gmity herd cow found near residence
A brindled Jersey cow branded on the left side was found near the foot of Mi Gmity on June 28. The owner may claim and prove ownership by calling and paying for the animal. A testimonial praises Chamberlain's Cough Remedy as a safe effective medicine for children and colds.
