Tonight the Union county exposition board will appoint several working committees headed by the group to lay plans for tents and stock sheds. The committees will start arranging the fair site into definite space and securing housing for animals. The financial committee is expected to contribute funds once it resumes work.
South Carolina holds local option elections in 21 counties to decide whether dispensaries reopen or remain closed. Abstaining counties stay dry while wet counties may resume whisky sales if voters favor it, with results expected within two weeks.
