A party from Fort Dodge Iowa arrived in La Grande and toured the Grande Ronde Valley this morning. Local boosters explained irrigation myths and highlighted county resources to the visitors. The group includes Mr and Mrs Ronell and Mr and Mrs Olsen.
Merchants farmers fruit growers and stock men discuss organizing a fall fair in October. The town boasts a first class half mile track and potential for a two or three day event to showcase grains vegetables and livestock, drawing on northwest land and county quality.
