Chicago authorities recovered hundreds of blank form notes with forged signatures in the Milwauxea State Bank vaults. Officials say the notes were prepared to match missing funds and signatures were traced from genuine examples, then altered in ink to appear authentic.
Springfield Missouri August 10 the sheriff swore in thirty more deputies to aid during the trial of men indicted for lynching the negroes a few days ago. State officials confer with Governor Folk on sending out the militia.
