F. W. Sherman of Julesburg Colorado visits the valley to inspect the irrigation project after touring Northwest districts. Real estate men show him prospects, and he may buy land here as he notes farmers and water users own the reservoir and run related business.
Walter M. Pierce plans a massive wheat harvest from 820 acres on Sandridge land. In under 11 days he will cut thresh and deliver to the warehouse with an expected yield exceeding 40 bushels per acre. The total harvest is not yet finalized.
A monthly land office report notes a drop in contest cases with 168 pending on August 1 and 54 decided, 45 new filed. It also cites 836 pending on April 15, a reduction due to decisions, and 156 proofs certified for patent in the period.
