The First Eastern Oregon District Agricultural Society announces the county fair will be at La Grande starting October 4 for one week. Delays were due to recruiting Wallowa county participation. Four men arraigned in hold-up case before Justice Stewart
The four men arrested for a recent hold-up were arraigned before Justice Angus Stewart. Two defendants, John Hale and Frank Edwards, were bound over for grand jury action while the others were not identified by victims. Hale and Edwards remain in county jail as bond attempts failed. Cochran and Cochran defended. District Attorney Ivanhoe prosecuted.

New Automobilist Born in Imbler County
A 14 pound boy was born this morning to Mr and Mrs C R Hibberd of Imbler marking another automobilist in the county. The father will have a miniature chug chug car ready for the newborn boy at once. The infant is said to be nearly large enough to operate a regular auto.

Will Visit His Brother in Salt Lake for G A R Encampment
Ed Bussey, not an enlisted G A R member but a long time drummer, sails next Saturday night to attend the grand army encampment in Salt Lake City. His special guest is his brother General Bussey of Washington D C, whom he has not seen in seven years, and he anticipates the reunion with interest. Mr. Haines of Union served under General Bussey.

Reward for arrest of pony thief in La Grande
Notice issued by L Rayburn Chief of Police announces a $100 reward for arrest and conviction of the person who took a black pony from a pasture. A separate notice states an impounded red and white bull, weight about 800 pounds, branded CG, was seized Aug 4 1909 in La Grande Oregon and may be sold if the owner does not claim and pay costs within ten days.
