A discovery three miles west of Mud Springs near Elgin uncovers human bones likely belonging to Dave Woodard who vanished in the mountains seven years ago. Local searchers Bailey Beelton and Geo Garwood reported the find to the Recorder, with boots partially intact, prompting relatives in Milton to be notified of the possible identification.
The Fun and Frolic Carnival comes Aug. 14 for a week with the Southern Carnival Company bringing 14 cars by train Aug. 18.
