Los Angeles April 24 The Woodmen of the World consider a monument fund not exceeding fifty thousand dollars with five cent assessments and advance dues. The local camp revises its law to avoid a new benefits table for two years. Women of Woodcraft may raise rates two percent. A reception will honor new officers tonight.

Milwaukee Apr 24 Frick Bigalow president of the First National Bank of Milwaukee was removed by the directors. Directors halted deposits and signed personal guarantees totaling one million, with Lunia and surplus profits backing the bank’s capital of 1.12 million. Charles Quarles said directors learned of the affair Saturday night. William Low, brother of the president, is vice president and signer of the guarantees.
On April 24 William O Neal was electrocuted at a gold dredger on the Calaveras river near Jenny Lind. The incident sent a large electrical current through him and led to his death.
The annual cherry garden party was held today by Hame Park with twelve hundred guests. The Empress and Imperial Princes and Princesses attended while the Emperor was indisposed and absent.
Saigon April 4 reports the Russian Fleet under Rosesivevsky moving away from Kamranh near Annam as tensions and naval activity near the coast continue.

Yesterday afternoon C R Selts and George Acley fought and Selita struck Acley with a beer bottle, causing a deep gash. Officer Obildera arrested both. Seitz pleaded guilty to assault and battery and was fined 25 dollars this afternoon before Justice Hough. Adley was not seriously injured.
