Grand jury indicts Pendleton liquor sellers in local option case
An Oregon grand jury indicted Ole Olevon owner of the Queen Chop House and Albert Deadgun along with Grant and Redfield of the Athena near beer saloon on liquor sale violations. Bonds were set at 500 dollars. two men were arrested, others fled. Attorney J P Winter entered not guilty pleas and demurred that the law was repealed. Further indictments and arrests were anticipated as the probe into local option violations continued.
