C C Richielieu of Banjos by Richelieu in Oregon Wisconsin, maker for 50 years, says young workers who play banjo keep craft alive. He attended the 12th annual Midwest Banjo Club jamboree in La Crosse at the American Legion Club. The noted donor Don Van Palta from San Diego commissioned a $10 000, 445 hour Bicentennial banjo with 1776 1976 motifs. Van Palta plans to feature the instrument in his act as a visually striking, well-toned banjo performer.
