Cat Dies and Rabies Test Planned After Bites
A suspected rabid cat that bit four La Crosse County residents on Sept 15 and 16 died Wednesday at a veterinary hospital. The head was sent to Madison for rabies testing. The bitten individuals include Bruce Morgan and Dennis Lambert in St Francis Hospital and Mrs Earl Arentz plus Robert Schlaver in Rockland. Six shots remain of the 14 shot series. Four kittens attacked by a skunk in Rockland, three died there and the fourth was found rabid near La Crosse.
