Fire devastates Golden Eagle Hotel in Redding California

In downtown Redding a fast spreading blaze tore through the historic Golden Eagle Hotel. Deputy police chief Elmer Nixon warned deaths may be possible as fire crews fought the fire for hours. Woman Dies In Prairie Car Crash

Mrs. Pansy Peterson, 52, of Prairie du Chien, died when the car she rode in hit a bridge abutment on the Prairie du Chien causeway early Saturday.
