Wilbur Wright will resume aeroplane flights Monday with a 120 pound sand bag as ballast replacing a man after the fatal accident to Lieut Selfridge. Orville Wright remains out for five or six months. The pair receive visitors as Katharine Wright arrives. Funeral plans for Selfridge await his parents from San Francisco and will be held at Arlington or West Point.
George Smith, a 60 year old farmhand, shot Mrs. Julius Grabow and her 14 year old daughter Olga, then wounded Sheriff Dwinnell. After barricading himself in the Grabow home near Calhoun, he held a posse at bay all night before dawn capture. Olga’s shoes and acts of affection are noted. Mrs. Grabow lies dying while Olga and the sheriff’s wounds are treated.
Vienna dispatch reports Count Szechenyi and Miss Gladys Vanderbilt were injured in an automobile accident in Hungary. Their injuries were minor shock and bruises after the car struck a bridge pillar while returning from army maneuvers.
