In Farmville Virginia hundreds of Negro children aged 6 to 18 returned to school at Mary Branch Elementary No 2 as the county opens four free private schools. About 1 200 to 1 600 pupils are expected to enroll by week’s end under a biracial board led by former Virginia governor Colgate W Darden with Neil V Sullivan as superintendent.

Four De Pere youths die in stolen car train crash
