Father and four sons die in Findlay farm house fire

A 51 year old father Lloyd K. Stine and four of his sons Dean Daniel 13 Elden Joe 11 Garry Eugene 5 and John Harvey 3 were killed in a 12 room farmhouse blaze four miles south of Findlay. The mother Lucille was at work and one son Richard 15 escaped after attempts to save the others.

Bishop H Clifford Northcott and Mrs Northcott shared their four month Africa mission tour with about 1200 central district Methodists in La Crosse. Governor Signs Road Contract for STH 171

Gov. Rennebohm approved a $31,350 contract with Jenkins and Baumgardt Construction Co. to lay gravel surface on 13.65 miles of state trunk highway 171 from the Crawford county junction with U S 61 to Boaz in Richland county. The project, costing $48,300 total, will improve a connecting link between U S highways 14 and 61, funded from the state highway maintenance fund.
