Seven Democratic governors from the Northeast met at Saratoga Springs to push for a regional energy and development plan and higher federal aid. A 22-year-old man, Rodney Lee Mellor, had the most serious charge of endangering safety by conduct regardless of life dismissed by Circuit Judge Peter Pappas. The case involves a firecracker that injured Bridget Schultz, a five-year-old girl, during a June 27 celebration in Modiro. The remaining charge of possession of a firecracker, a misdemeanor, stands.
