PRAIRIE DU CHIEN AP Fire damaged the Design Homes Inc factory the maker of prefabricated houses and trailer homes. The 175 by 50 foot metal building burned for about an hour around 11 a.m. Plant manager Frank Weeks estimated losses between 100000 and 150000 with no injuries reported. About 35 employees worked there. Authorities suspect a gas line rupture on a fork lift sparked the blaze and fire crews remained on site to keep flames from spreading to neighboring industrial buildings in the northeast.
