Bus Driver Stricken Hero Teacher Stops Bus
Miss Margaret Rankin halted a Philadelphia educated bus after the driver slumped at the wheel on a Penn Lincoln Parkway East route in Pittsburgh. The drive, Leon Chwilka, 44, was hospitalized in serious condition. Rankin recalled instinctively steering the bus to safety guiding the children to calm as paramedics arrived.
