Gaullists Seek Ways To End French Strike
Paris reports President de Gaulle and his ministers met in an unusual Ascension Day session to discuss a way out of nationwide work stoppages. No decisions were announced, and de Gaulle was to address the nation Friday night by radio and TV. Interior Minister Fouchet banned Daniel Cohn-Bendit’s return from Frankfurt, prompting student protests and tightened border controls. The holiday shutdown left Paris quiet with gasoline shortages and a taxi strike redefining the city’s pace.

In Cambridge Maryland Kunstler argued Brown was not notified of the indictment and thus the gun charge could be invalid. LaCour countered that Brown or his lawyer surely knew of the indictment given prior news reports. Judge Mitchell had ruled knowledge of the indictment could sustain the gun charge.
