Wisconsin Wheat Referendum Fails To Reach Two-Thirds Margin
Wisconsin farmers voted 3 484 yes 2 766 no 55 7 percent of 6 522 turnout in a referendum on the Kennedy wheat control plan. The plan needed 66 7 percent to take effect. turnout included 272 challenged ballots. Professor Mulder called turnout fine and noted the majority favored the proposal but not the required two thirds.

McDonnell Aircraft Corp will conduct simulated tests this summer to evaluate landing characteristics of the Gemini space capsule.
