State Finances Critical Says Hollander
Wisconsin finances are critical, says State Sen. Walter Hollander Rosendale Republican and chair of the joint finance committee. He told the La Crosse County Republican Women at Maple Grove Country Club that budget requests are high and tax increases would hurt industry and jobs. He warned a 1 percent state income tax rise could become the nation's most punitive, and that stalemate could force service cuts and local tax hikes to fund schools and welfare.
