Wisconsin Weekend Traffic Toll Falls Under 350
Seven people died in Wisconsin weekend crashes, including a motorbike collision involving Richard Smits of Green Bay. Milwaukee reported two fatal injuries as I 94 incidents raised the state toll. statewide three-month deaths rose 36 percent to 234 compared with 172 a year earlier.

La Crosse County Official W L Christopherson Dies at 66
Winfield L. Christopherson longtime La Crosse County supervisor and civic leader died Sunday in a La Crosse hospital at age 66. Services are planned Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church West Salem with burial in Burns Cemetery Ban gor. He survived by his wife Myrtle a stepson two grandchildren two sisters and a brother. He served 18 years on the County Board six terms as chairman and held various town and village posts before his death. He was born January 10 1902 in Burns Valley and worked in insurance.

General Strike In Paris Fails To Meet Goals
Tens of thousands of students and workers joined a nationwide general strike in Paris protesting police action during last week's riots. The action disrupted services but fell short of aims as the government had met immediate student demands. Several sectors faced disruptions while some areas operated normally.

Special Forces Camp Overrun in Saigon Theater
Allied forces say the main Vietnamese communist attack on Saigon was crushed but a Special Forces camp at Kham Duc 350 miles northeast was overrun. Six Air Force crewmen died when a C130 was shot down during evacuation. 19 Americans killed and 89 wounded at the camp, with over 300 enemy casualties reported. The Saigon area saw heavy air strikes and 5,200 enemy killed or captured in the 3rd Corps area since May 5.

20000 Reservists Go On Active Duty

Resurrection City Opens As Abernathy Starts Poor Peoples Camp
