Bursting air hose wrecks Pennsylvania express
A freight air hose burst near Cedar Street south of Harrisburg at 1 10 this morning causing a collision between the westbound passenger train and freight cars on the main track. Two dynamite cars exploded, destroying wreckage and unleashing fires that killed several and injured many more. Local hospitals and workers rushed to aid as officials reported about 25 dead and 125 injured with up to a thousand laborers aiding in clearance.

Mrs. Jennie Petrasek of 1020 Farnam street found her son Joseph Petrasek dead on the kitchen floor this morning. The 35 year old cooper at La Crosse Cooperage had complained of illness the past week and died apparently of apoplexy around four o'clock. He lived with his mother, was unmarried and well regarded. Funeral services will be Saturday from the residence with burial in Catholic cemetery, Fessler & Dahl in charge.

Charles Anderson 29, of Fourteenth Street and Sherman Lane, was killed in the Fowler street yards of the Milwaukee road at Seventeenth Street while on a line of empties being moved into a siding. Foreman Joseph Sherman found him lying on the track with a crushed head at about 4 a m. He leaves a widow.
