UWL Eyes Occupation Therapy Program Approval
The University of Wisconsin La Crosse seeks Regents approval to start a four year occupational therapy program this fall. WWHPO and St Francis and Lutheran Hospitals back the plan and offer pre internship clinical experience. The proposal calls for 14 new courses 37 credits six month internship and a BS in occupational therapy. It notes only two similar programs exist in Wisconsin at UW and Mount Mary College and aims to attract a less urban student group with rural clinical exposure. It requires six new faculty and facilities labs and space to support the professional stage.
