Harley W. Jefferson 74 a former tobacco executive from Sparta died Saturday at a East Orange New Jersey hospital after a Thursday heart attack. Funeral services are set for Monday in East Orange and Wednesday in Sparta at the Masonic Temple with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. He retired in 1956 as president of Waitt and Bond Inc and later advised for the firm. Born October 15 1883 in Danville Virginia he moved to Sparta in 1901.
