The FBI identified the Montana body found March 4 near Helena as Ervin LaVern Onsgard 30 of Mabel and Spring Grove Minnesota using fingerprints. Onsgard known as LaVern, WWII veteran, last seen in April 1949 after leaving for Alaska work with a man named Clifford Pierce. He was born August 6 1919 in Spring Grove and unmarried.
