City approves bond plan to settle bid dispute

Funeral Held for Daniel Murphy Diphtheria Victim
The funeral for Daniel Murphy who died June 22 in North Dakota was held yesterday at St. James church with Rev. Ambrose Murphy presiding and William Dwyer in charge. Diphtheria caused his death. Pallbearers were delayed by a late message to La Crosse. Murphy, 36, a former Soo Line conductor, left a widow and one child. Interment followed at the Catholic cemetery.
