A 7 year old Michigan girl Susie Jaeger was abducted from a campground tent near Three Forks Montana. Police planned to widen the search with boats to probe rivers joining the Missouri River. FBI agents were to join the inquiry as investigators reviewed the scene near the 1968 fatal camp incident.

Milwaukee man dies from police gunfight after four officers wounded
Milwaukee AP report says suspect Warren Pettis, 24, died from wounds after fatally shooting and wounding four patrolmen Monday night. Pettis seized a patrolmen's revolver during a scuffle at a North Side service station and was shot twice in the chest and once in the hand by officers. Officers Rosario Colura Michael Jordan Richard Tarczynski and David Liest were treated for bullet wounds. Steven Luedtke had a laceration and were listed in satisfactory condition at the time.
